A Message From the CEO during the Holiday Season

Season

Andrea Seyka

As we enter the season of giving, it is important that we reflect on the meaning of Christmas. God the Father gave the gift of His only son so that we could receive the love and salvation of Christ. It is our responsibility to exchange the gifts HE bestowed to us through our thoughts and actions.

In this issue, we begin by telling the story of a young woman named Shamber, who embodies the love of Christ in all that she does. With the courage and strength that her faith gives her, Shamber advocates for children who find themselves in the same circumstances she once experienced as a child in foster care. Because of her parents, Jerry and Tamal Flore, Shamber and her siblings have a family to celebrate with this Christmas season.

You too can be a part of giving the gift of charity to the children and family that we serve. Take the time to share how our services can help a loved one, volunteer your talent as a mentor at the Children’s Home, or select a meaningful option for you to share your treasure.

Together, we can embrace the need to help our community’s most vulnerable. Your gifts of charity have profound impacts on the children we serve, whether it’s the trust and confidence a child can build through the experience of horse therapy, or the sense of accomplishment they achieve in our Mileage Club.

On behalf of STVCC, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Andrea Seyka
