donation needsSt. Vincent Catholic Charities (STVCC) annually provides services to thousands of children, families and adults, of all beliefs, living in this community. Donation needs to the services of STVCC are based upon the core and basic needs of refugee families and other customers of STVCC, and may vary depending on the season and items in which we currently have the largest need. All smaller household items may be dropped off (weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at STVCC, located at 2800 W. Financial donations:  Please make checks payable to St. Vincent Catholic Charities.

 We cannot accept: 

  • Used beds including frames, mattresses and box springs.
  • Sleeper sofas, recliner sofas, futons, waterbeds, bicycles, or used toys.
  • Large appliances, including stoves, refrigerators, freezers, washers, and dryers.
  • Some Small Household appliances including food processors, toaster ovens, bread machine, juicers and crock pots.
  • Used vacuums.
  • Clothing items other than adult size winter coats and waterproof mittens/gloves.
  • Computers, books
  • Strollers and used child car seats

Please understand:

  • All donations will be inspected prior to being accepted. STVCC staff reserves the right to refuse any donations if they do not meet the specifications or needs of St. Vincent Catholic Charities; this includes items that are dirty, covered in pet hair or in poor condition.
  • All household items can be brought to St. Vincent Catholic Charities during regular business hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm or by appointment.  Please call (517) 323-4734 ext. 1050 for an appointment.

Or email our facilities staff at donations@stvcc.org. Staff will reply to your email within 1-2 business days.

If you cannot wait to schedule a drop-off time, or if you have items that we are unable to accept, there are other organizations in Lansing that do accept limited items.  Please call them or stop by one of the locations below to find out if they accept the items you wish to donate.
