A message from our CEO…

Andrea E. Seyka, CEO of St. Vincent Catholic CharitiesDear Friends,

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have always loved this time of year.  Everyone is giving thanks and spreading holiday cheer.  Here at St. Vincent Catholic Charities, this is a special time for us to continue uplifting the lives of those we serve.    I pray that as you gather with your loved ones this Thanksgiving season, you also remember those without food, without homes, without the loving support of family and without hope.

It is often during a season of cheer and happiness like this one, that many people suffering from grief, isolation or depression feel most alone.  They often see the smiling faces of children and families around them and desire to feel that happiness themselves.  I ask you to please join me in prayer for all those who may be going through tough times this holiday season.  Matthew 21:22 says that “Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.”

It is God’s will that your heart be filled with peace and love.  As a community it is so important that we look after the health and well being of our neighbors.  If you know someone who may be in need of counseling support, I encourage you to have them contact STVCC Counseling Services.  Our experienced and caring therapist can help them confront their problems and begin the process toward healing.  For more information, call (517)323-4734 ext. 1700 or visit our Counseling Services page on our website HERE.

In service to those in need,

Andrea E. Seyka, CEO
