Reflection and Gratitude This Holiday Season

Reflection and gratitudeGreetings Friends of St. Vincent Catholic Charities,

At this joyous time of year we have much to celebrate. It seems that our lives move into overdrive as we busily prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Yet in the midst of all the busy-ness of the season it is good to take moments for reflection and gratitude. We are so grateful for the enduring support that we receive from so many among you who understand and embrace our mission.

Inspired by the words of Pope Francis on the topic of mercy, on December 8th we stepped into our focused Jubilee Year of Mercy. With that in mind, this edition of our newsletter highlights some of the ways throughout the year that we offer you the opportunity to become actively involved in doing works of mercy for those in great need. This is our call for you to join us in displaying mercy & gratitude, providing vulnerable children the hope and promise for a brighter future; welcoming strangers to our community and giving them the very real opportunity of a life free from threat and oppression; and giving compassionate counsel to individuals and families seeking healing for their hearts and minds.

Whether you are actively involved in works of mercy or contribute your resources to help us in our daily commitment to works of mercy here at St. Vincent Catholic Charities, I am deeply grateful for your support.

May God bless you all!

Andrea E. Seyka
Chief Executive Officer
