Reflection on Volunteering

Families volunteering at STVCCThe end of the year is the perfect time for reflection on volunteering and how  your charitable activities over the past year can help, specifically volunteering. Give some thought towards how you might be willing to share your time or talent with St. Vincent Catholic Charities (STVCC).

At STVCC throughout the year there are so many ways to get involved.  Opening up and sharing from your heart can enrich your own life in ways that go way beyond measurement.  Perhaps you feel called to be part of an “army” of volunteers that rise to a one time occasion to get some much needed work done at our facility. This is a great opportunity for a team of volunteers from your place of business, church, or even your whole family.

Or, perhaps you have some special skills or talents to share. You can put those special skills to work by being a mentor/volunteer helping children in the Children’s Home or helping a refugee family learn how to make their way in a new country. Perhaps you are ready to make the ultimate gift of a loving heart by making room in your family to foster a child in desperate need of a safe, consistent, loving home.

However you decide to share of your time and talent know that each year there are numerous volunteer opportunities available at St. Vincent Catholic Charities.  We guarantee that rich rewards will come to you when you choose to add a commitment to volunteer.

To get involved please contact Dr. Thomas Woods, Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator at woodst@stvcc.org or call 517.323.4734 ext. 1203.
